St. Patrick’s Day Celebration

St. Rita Knights of Columbus council will again sponsor the annual Corned Beef & Cabbage dinner on Saturday March 17th at St. Rita School Gym. This year the entertainment will be provided by Emerald Productions.

Palm Crosses

The St. Rita Knights of Columbus council will again be selling the beautiful Palm Crosses for $8 this year. Order forms will be available starting the weekend of February 18th & 19th at all church exits. The Palm Crosses will be available for pickup starting the weekend of March 24th & 25th.

All Saints Cemetery

The Catholic Cemeteries Association of the Archdiocese of Hartford is offering all Catholic families the opportunity to purchase pre-need graves or mausoleum crypt space at a discount. Act now and enjoy the following discounts: Tandem Mausoleum Crypt (two spaces) save $500, Single Mausoleum Crypt save $300, Grave save $150, Cremation Grave or Niche save $100. Valentine’s Mass & Social

All married and engaged couples are invited to join us for St. Rita’s 23^rd Annual Valentine’s Mass. The candlelight Mass will be held on Saturday, February 11^th at 7:00 PM. We are honored to have the Sacred Heart Academy Honors choir who will surely enhance the enjoyment of the Mass. Immediately following the Mass, a lovely reception will be held in the Donnelly Parish Center. This Mass entitled Marriage: A Partnership with God is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate marriage with your spouse and fellow parishioners. For those attending married 50 years or more, please contact Art Fleischman at 203-248-2033. For those interested in helping, please bring a treat or hors d’oeuvre to share at the reception. Adopt A Book

St. Rita School invites you to buy a new book for the library. Books can be purchased at $15 and dedicated “In memory of,” “In honor of,” “Happy Birthday to,” or custom designed with your request. Anyone wishing to purchase a book please call the school (203-248-3114) or call the school Librarian Linda Kiely and she will select one for you. Upon request, a letter of acknowledgement will be sent to the person or family whom the book is being dedicated. Checks should be made payable to St. Rita School Library and are tax deductible.

The week of January 23rd, in honor of Catholic Schools week, books will be displayed in the school hall for your viewing.

Connex Credit Union – Hamden Branch

Support St. Rita School. Every quarter, Connex donates fees collected from coin counting machines at various branches to non-profit organizations in the community. The machine charge is 5% to Connex members and 7% to non-members. Fees collected at the Connex Hamden Branch from January 1 thru March 31, 2012 will go to St. Rita Home School Association. The more people who participate, the more money we’ll raise for the St. Rita Home School Association. The Connex Hamden Branch is located in the Hamden Plaza.
