On Wednesday afternoon, the St. Rita Soccer Team won their first ever Soccer Championship. After a perfect regular season of 12-0-0, St Rita continued their great season by not allowing a goal in the playoffs. They outscored opponents 10-0 in the process, in route to the championship.
Playing their divisional foe, St. Bridget of Cheshire, in the championship final could not have been a better set up for a championship game. The teams had played two nail biters during regular season play, with St. Rita eking out one point leads in both matches. The championship had St. Bridget looking for revenge and St. Rita looking for the perfect season.
In the end, the St. Rita stiff defense and tenacious offense proved too much for a disciplined St. Bridget team. Congratulations to both teams on a great season, and well played championship.
Congratulations to St. Rita for their perfect 14-0-0 season.

Great article! Who wrote it? Congratulations to the players and the coaches!!
Would like to take this opportunity to say what a pleasure and honor it was to coach this team. They played their season with the heart and determination fo true champions! I will carry this in my personal history as one of my most memorable moments. Thanks to all the parents for their incredible support throughout this season. It is truly a joy to be a part of St. Rita Athletics and to hopefully be a positive impact on the kids middle school years. Congratulations to all of my student-athletes and thank you for a great year!
Sincerely,
Coach Cassesse
